Xiaomi, a Chinese tech company, has released a new laser projector, Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2, in early November.
Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2 is positioned as a home theater projector. The company claims that the new projector is the most advanced 4K laser projector it has released so far.
Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2 is rated at 2400 ANSI lumens and features 4K resolution with a 3000:1 contrast ratio, delivering a clear image with rich details.
More importantly, the projector is compatible with Dolby Vision, bringing a cinematic viewing experience for users. Dolby Vision is widely used in many high-end TV, and few projector suppliers adopt the technology in their projectors.
In addition, it carries an ALPD RB+ laser engine, covering 113% REC. 709 color gamut.
As a short-throw projector, Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2 can project an image up to 200 inches. It requires only 20 cm to project a 100-inch image.
The new projector operates on Android 9.0 operating system, a special version of MIUI designed for TV. It also supports Xiao AI virtual assistant, making the projector smart and intelligent.
It is equipped with a Mediatek MT9669 processor with a clock speed of 1.9 GHz. The new projector has a memory capacity of 32 GB and a RAM of 3GB.
It has rich and various interfaces and ports, including 3x DHMI 2.0, 2x USB 2.0, 1x SPDIF a 1x Ethernet port.
For wireless connectivity, it adopts Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 2.4 / 5 GHz. For smart connections, it also supports Chromecast.
Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2 is now available with a retail price of RMB14,999 (About $2,350) in China.
