Many projector fans know that laser projectors are cutting-edge. The price of laser projectors is much higher than ordinary projectors. So, what’s the major differences between them?
1 Life Span
Laser projectors can last 20,000-25,000 hours. If you use it 8 hours a day, it can last at least 6-8 years. However, lamp projectors have a life span about 5,000 hours, which can last 2 years or so.
Theoretically, laser projectors will remain bright for a long time without decay because the laser light source has a longer life span.
2 Installation Method
Lamp projectors usually adopt the ceiling installation for aesthetics and to get a proper screen size because of space limits.
However, most of laser projectors can put at TV cabinet directly because they adopt a reflective short-throw projection technology.
3 Light Environment Performance
The light from the laser projector is reflected directly into people’s eyes. In addition, their throw distance is much shorter than lamp projectors, and therefore they have a good anti-light performance.
However, lamp projectors require a good shade curtain to make the screen image clear. They have relatively poor performance in strong day light.
4 Price
The price of laser projection is higher than lamp projectors. Generally, the price of laser projector can approximately pay for two ordinary lamp projectors though the pricing of different suppliers is varied.
