Samsung Unveils Premiere 9 and 7 Ultra-Short Throw Laser Projectors

Samsung has recently introduced two new ultra-short throw laser projectors, the Premiere 9 and Premiere 7, catering to home theater enthusiasts with a starting price of $3,000.

Premiere 9

The Premiere 9 is designed with a triple-laser system, which Samsung claims enhances color accuracy and increases light output. With a peak brightness of 3,450 ISO lumens, this model delivers an 18% improvement over its predecessor. This makes it well-suited for creating vibrant and vivid images, even in rooms with moderate ambient light.

In terms of audio, the Premiere 9 features a “2.2.2” design, including two small subwoofers, two upward-firing speakers, and two main speakers. This setup, with a total power output of 40 watts, is powerful enough to fill most small to medium-sized rooms with rich, immersive sound.

Premiere 7

The Premiere 7, while more affordable, still offers impressive features. It boasts a brightness rating of 2,500 ISO lumens, marking an 8.7% improvement over the previous model. The audio system in the Premiere 7 is a 2.2 channel setup with 30 watts of power, providing a strong audio experience that complements its visual capabilities.

Shared Features

Both projectors come with Samsung’s Tizen operating system, offering a user experience similar to that of Samsung’s S95D OLED TVs. The projectors come preloaded with popular streaming apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, making it easy for users to access their favorite content without needing additional devices.

Both the Premiere 9 and Premiere 7 support 4K resolution and are compatible with HDR10 Plus, delivering sharp, detailed images with enhanced contrast and color. They are capable of projecting images up to 130 inches diagonally, making them a strong choice for creating a cinematic experience at home.

The Premiere 9 is priced at $6,000, while the more budget-friendly Premiere 7 is available at $3,000, offering options for different budgets without compromising on quality.
