On December 13, Samsung Electronics announced that its flagship projector, the Premiere 8K, has successfully received official certification from the 8K Association, making it the world’s first 8K-certified projector.
The 8K Association launched a new certification program for 8K projectors on December 10. This program sets strict requirements for key parameters such as resolution, brightness, contrast, color gamut, and HDR. Certified devices must also support 8K upscaling technology and the latest immersive audio formats.
