1. Appearance
The fuselage of Fengmi R1 projector adopts “disc type” design, which is also called “sweeping robot”. The first impression is that the material may be a combination of metal and glass, but it is actually a combination of resin and glass. It can be seen how great the texture of Fengmi R1 product is.
On the front of Fengmi R1, there is a glass arc panel with “Formovie”logo and a physically pressed power button. The glass panel also extends upward to the top. At the top is a set of camera modules for focusing and sensing the human body, two mic holes for far-field sound pickup, DTS and Dolby certification marks.
It has an expansion interface on the back. In my opinion, this design is more flawed, because we should stick our body to the wall when accessing the USB flash disk test, and we will see the strong light projected by Fengmi R1 at the first sight.
Direct laser irradiation does some harm to the eyes, but Fengmi R1 is equipped with anti glare mode in the system. When the camera module at the top senses the human body, it will automatically reduce the brightness of the picture, and “please don’t look directly at the light source” is prompted in the darker projection picture.
2. System
Fengmi R1 supports FengOS large screen intelligent system and adopts unbounded full screen UI style, which makes users more immersed in visual effect. FengOS supports the installation of applications from unknown sources, so open this function to install third-party software such as Dangbei market.
3. Performance
Because Fengmi R1 projector adopts ultra short focus design and the projection position is relatively fixed, its performance will not be as intelligent and automatic as that of medium and long focus projector.
4. image quality
Fengmi R1 projector uses light peak ALPD display technology, laser light source and 1600ansi lumens. The resolution is 1920×1080, the maximum decoding is 4K, and the display ratio is 16:9. It is a standard household projector.
5. Summary
Fengmi R1 projector meets the standards of household projectors from appearance value, image quality to system level. Ultra short focus design and laser light source are its two biggest advantages. With these two points, it is superior to ordinary projectors. Personally, it has done well as a household viewing equipment.
