Appearance:

BenQ GV1 has a net weight of only 708g and a volume of 80 x 155 x 80 (mm), which is equivalent to the size of a portable speaker. The workmanship is very exquisite. The body material is mainly composed of PVC and SBZZ; There is a square glass protective lens on the front, and the internal lens is also square. It is made of glass and resin. Below it are some openings and logo of BenQ.

The upper half of BenQ GV1 is the lens part. The fuselage can adjust the elevation angle of 15 degrees, can project a larger picture, and can support automatic trapezoidal correction in the vertical direction.

The upper part of the back body is a radiator. When in use, you can obviously feel a hot wind discharging outward. The lower part is the sound system, which also adopts the back speaker design; At the bottom are DC power interface and USB-C interface. There are no other interfaces on BenQ GV1 except these two interfaces.

Both sides are of the same design. The only difference is that there is a knob on the left for manual focusing, which means it is difficult for you to focus well. First, the sensitivity of the knob is too high, which makes it inconvenient for you to focus; Second, focusing can only be realized on the fuselage, and the remote controller cannot be focused well.

At the top is the power switch. The power switch is a physical press button. The Bluetooth audio and volume increase and decrease keys are touch type. The biggest disadvantage of touch button design in portable projector is that it is easy to touch by mistake.

Using experience:

As an intelligent projector, BenQ GV1 can obviously support wireless screen projection. Both Android and iPhone have been connected through QR code. Of course, the Type-C interface of BenQ GV1 supports DP transmission, and the computer can be directly connected to the BenQ GV1 projector to realize wired screen projection.

In addition, the remote control of BenQ GV1 is a more textured design visually, with a more flat shape and 12 keys. The touch of the remote control will make people feel disappointed. Firstly, it is relatively light, secondly, it has no texture, and the sense of plastic is much stronger than that of an ordinary remote control.

Viewing experience:

For the DLP display technology used by BenQ GV1, the display chip is 0.2DMD, and the standard resolution is only 848×480dpi. The color is adjusted according to the rec.709 color gamut standard. The color is relatively rich and accurate, but the resolution is not high.
